I have gone to Dr. Rumbaugh for four years now. The whole staff is very nice. Dr Rumbaugh is very friendly and easy to like and feel comfortable with. Going to the dentist is something I do not like to do but I seem to be relaxed there. He does not hesitate to numb you more when needed and tells you at all times what he is doing and how much longer for the procedure. It is a small office which is what I wanted. I am very pleased.

It's really important to me to have a comfortable chair to sit in during my dental procedure, and their chairs were very comfortable. It was nice to be able to be comfortable during my entire procedure. I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. I've been to some other places where I was scared to get out of my car but not here. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. I was completely satisfied with my visit and feel that it was time and money well spent. I am lucky to have found such a great dentist. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up.

Are you afraid of the dentist?

I had developed a phobia of dentistry due to a reaction from anesthesia when I was very young. As a result of that, I had a cavity filled later on when I still young without anesthesia. After that, I stopped going to the dentist. Over time, the fear of a reaction to anesthesia turned into a deep phobia and an extreme anxiety. Just thinking I would have to have dental procedures done without numbing was very unsettling! Even hearing people mention 'dentist' would trigger anxiety.

Is this you in any way?

I passed my concerns to Dr. Rumbaugh and he took great concern to listen. He provided me with a pill to ease me and relieve my anxiety and reasoned that my reaction was not to the anesthesia itself but what he called "vascular constrictors" used in them and said he would use "natural anesthesia". He even offered to have an associate come in and put me to sleep if I wanted! In my case, we agreed that would not be needed, but he offered!

He understands that fears of dentistry are the results of many things, from in my case a reaction that turned into something bad for my health to great fears of anesthesia and not being able to 'take the shot'. Tell Dr. Rumbaugh of your concerns, he cares and will take the time to listen. His whole staff cares and you will not be ridiculed for having not been to the dentist in a long time. His rates are excellent, his staff friendly and above all, caring. His offices are clean, well lighted, comfortable and spacious. He and his entire staff understand and will get you to the good dental health, that you know you need.

Do not be afraid, you will not feel a thing, I promise.

I never had to doubt their qualifications. They made their credentials completely obvious, which made me feel a lot safer. Although I was hoping to be able to watch my favorite show during my dental procedure, they had plenty of magazines for me to look through. My procedure flew by because I had something to distract me the entire time. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs.
