I had spinal surgery with dr chilles earlier this year and although everything seems to have gone ok I found that he appeared to have very little interest in me after the surgery in the 3 follow up appointments I had I was in and out of his office in 5 mins or less the only time he looked at my back was when he took out the staples , I asked him for a copy of the xray they took in the hospital to which I was told I should contact the hospital myself and get it .and on my last 5 min appointment when he discharged me I asked if I would have to get a scan at 6 months after the surgery to make sure everything was healing the way it was supposed to he said there was no need which I found very strange as I know several other people who have had this procedure and all got scans to check if everything was fine ,he came highly recommended by my doctor and by the staff in the hospital and I have no doubt that he is a excellent surgeon but I was very disappointed in the level of interest he appeared to take in me after the surgery

I came to Dr. Chiles with years of chronic lower back pain and a previous failed lumbar fusion. He took my situation very seriously, going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of properly. He knew what steps would be best to take considering my young age, corrected my previous surgery and successfully fused my L4-S1 joints. Dr. Chiles was at my bedside making sure I was feeling okay during my post-op hospital stay, available by phone at a moment's notice when I needed his knowledge when I was home throughout my recovery, and made it a point to check on me every so often to stay on top of my progress. He has been there 110% of the way and I couldn't be more grateful for him giving me a life without backpain back!
