About

Jorge Gonzalez, MD

Enjoy the practice of general neurology with liking for migraine, neuropathy, head injury,
tremors, and neck and back pain, painful
post herpes neuralgias, vertigo and imbalance,
and epilepsy

I prefer to practice in a small group neurology clinic. Our office is close to St Francis Hospital
on the southwest corner of 81 st and Yale.

I spend time with my patients trying to answer
their questions so I'm slower but most patients
when they leave feel they have been heard.

I have additional training in Neurorehabilitation and
work with other members in my group that are subspecialized in neuromuscular diseases and
multiple sclerosis. We have in house sleep study center , physical therapy, vestibular balance and treatment center, EEG and EMG labs and clinical drug study center. Additionally
from time to time I enjoy teaching medical students that rotate through our practice.

Jerk! The Dr cancelled my first appointment after I'd been waiting over an hour. Second appointment I saw him for 5 minutes during which he belittled me and treated me like a difficult and slow child, the rest of the appointment conducted by his nurse practitioner. Will not ever go back.

This physician should have his license removed and not be able to practice the rest of his life. My father went to him with a nerve disease and he performed no testing of any kind and diagnosed him from based of one office visit and prior medical history. He sent him home and said "if it gets worse then go to the hospital." The condition worsened and my father went to the hospital walking and came out in a wheelchair. The office could not even fit my father in for visits and he worsened still waiting months for a follow up appointment. Thank God we found another neurologist in another group who immediately performed testing and sent him for treatments.. we have now found out that he doesn't even have the condition Dr. G said he had. He has a different condition and if he had received immediate attention from Dr. G and been properly diagnosed, he may not be living in a wheelchair today. This man is not committed to caring for his patients.
