I had to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out, as well as a small surgery on a 5th tooth. After hearing horror stories from friends and family about the pain and side effects of the surgery from other doctors, I chose to put it off for a while. That turned into 3 years. However, once the pain of the wisdom teeth really started to kick in, I had no choice but to go back and schedule my surgery. Doctor Morris told me the procedure would take about 45 minutes. I would be under general anesthesia, and not feel or remember anything. He assured me that I would most probably be able to go to work the next day. So I scheduled my appointment for a week. During that week, I had countless people tell me that there was no way I'd be leaving my home for 2 weeks with all the pain and swelling around my mouth. So I postponed it again. But the pain got so bad within a month, I had no choice but to schedule the surgery. I went in on August 5th, at 8:45am. Dr. Morris and his staff always make you feel as comfortable as humanly possible. The staff assured me over and over again that everything will be fine. They explained to me what the general anesthesia would feel like when I go under, and when I come to. They told me about the countless procedure Dr. Morris has performed in the past decades without any incidents. When Dr. Morris came in, we went over the procedure briefly and they started to administer the anesthesia. I was out within 5 seconds. When I came to, an hour had passed. I felt ABSOLUTELY no pain whatsoever. I felt a little out of it for about 5 minutes. After that, I was back to my normal self. Not that I did, but honestly, I could have driven home from the doctor's office. I felt GREAT. I had a little bit of swelling around my mouth for about an hour or so because of the Novocain. Once that subsided, you could not even tell that I had major surgery in my mouth earlier that morning. I took the prescription meds Dr. Morris gave me at every interval I was supposed to. I never felt ANY pain. NEVER. I went out all day after that appointment. The meds were supposed to make me drowsy, but for whatever reason, they did not. I was more active in the 5 days after that surgery than any other 5 days prior to that day. I went in a week later for my post-op, and Dr. Morris removed the stitches and told me everything looks great. Best news I had ever received from a doctor and/or dental doctor. I never ever ever write reviews for anyone or anything, however, I just feel like Dr. Morris deserves all the credit in the world for doing such an amazing job. I would and am recommending him to everyone I know.
