Health Benefits of Dark Chocolate

Ok....the moment that every woman has been waiting for is here! The time when studies finally show that chocolate is actually healthy! Not just any chocolate – dark chocolate. That rich, decadant, full-of-flavor treat! For some, dark chocolate is "love at first bite", for others it is an acquired taste. But, to many women's delight, reasearchers show this tasty treat has a number of health benefits. Keep in mind that chocolate is often high in fat.....so be sure to limit your portions.

Benefit #1: Dark chocolate is good for your heart

With the number 1 cause of death of females in the United States being heart disease, we need all the help we can get to make sure we keep our hearts strong and healthy. Studies show that eating dark chocolate 2-3 times per week can improve blood flow, help prevent blood clots, and can lower blood pressure. It is also believed that dark chocolate can also help prevent artheroscerolsis (hardening of the arteries).
