Previous reviewer “truthteller” is spot on; these people are UNETHICAL and HARMFUL. I had originally been referred to Highline, because of anxiety (which is another Kaiser nightmare story—long story short, my physician diagnosed me as having anxiety which was causing IBS (after refusing to run any tests or referring me to a gastroenterologist)… went to a doctor outside of Kaiser, who discovered the opposite. I was having a bad allergic reaction to antibiotics—and the stress of not receiving treatment was causing crippling anxiety). The first counselor that I saw was Olyk Salas. She signed me up for their intensive outpatient program (IOP), without even explaining to me what it was. I asked if it was a type of group therapy, and she replied with: “don’t worry – there will be people worse off than you there.” I felt as though she was unprofessional and requested a transfer to another counselor/therapist. When she learned of this, she called my cellphone and told me that I had “a lot of issues”, no one else would be willing to take my case, and I would lose my health insurance. I went to IOP without any positive results. When I refused to go any longer, the psychiatrist Jean Milofsky, forced me to go to Bridge House (an inpatient halfway house)—despite the crisis team reviewing me and concluding I had no reason to go there. I went to Bridge House, where I was released shortly, because I did not belong there. If you are able, DO NOT go to this clinic and always, always, always ask for a second opinion.

Joe Barfoot is a blatant misogynist. I came for a referral for my children. He wrote a defamatory assessment of me (when I was not the client) in both children's records, the kids told me he was groggy and inappropriate with them. The administration took 6 months to respond to my concerns and still will not give us the necessary referral. These are very dangerous clinicians, incompetent and unwise. Stay away!!!! I was a therapist for thirty years, these people are unethical and harmful.

This provider has helpful information available online, but its hard to find. I wish they had more of an online presence. I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointment. It was pretty hard to find the building, but I eventually found it. I was late because of this and they still kept my appointment which is a big deal..

I wish there were more facilities with Therapists available throughout the metro area.. This is very hard to get to.

One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. There was no annoying music playing while I waited or during my visit. I appreciated that they didn't have that typical elevator music on. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all.
