I have been going to this place for years. I had no problem with them until I questioned them why they charged me more for a generic prescription than a brand name. I have been trying for 3 days to get the office personnel to fax a prescription to Pet Med. Yesterday they faxed Pet Med a blank piece of paper; like that's going to accomplish anything. At this rate, my cat is going to die before he gets his medication. Maybe this is Avalon's way of forcing a customer to buy from them. I can get the prescription from Pet Med for $ 15; Avalon charged me $ 60 for a generic.

I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. This veterinarian is so great about sending reminders for pets annual exams and thanks to them I have never forgotten once. They are always polite and never use foul language, which I really appreciate. It's always made me uncomfortable at other places when I've heard them use foul language, but they don't here. I know I can bring my kids, and not worry about it. the customer's always right The office was easy enough to in the hell can this doctor tell that my animal has cancer and hasn't done any damn test to show this finding. I believe he is the reason one of my other dogs died three years ago. What a QAUCK and I am really dissapointed in this docotr and I will take my pets to another doctor.

No, they would call sporadically but I never felt fully informed

The estimated prices were not even close. 3 different visits were more than double what I was told up front to expect. One was almost triple the estimate (with no additional services provided or complications found.)

This veterinarian (the doctor himself) was friendly enough and seemed to at least be interested in what he was doing. However, the staff was another story completely. 2 of the 3 administrative/office staff were simply unprofessional ... bordering inappropriate. The one that didn't seem angry she was there instead of somewhere else did manage to take my money (again, more than what was quoted for exactly the services I received) and give me a receipt but she suffered terribly from paralysis of the smile muscles.

They just gave me the facts and didn't really appear to care that much.

The examining rooms at their office were pretty clean, but I felt like they could have been cleaner.

Almost every time I visit, I have to remind them who I am, why I'm there, and what my circumstances are. They made no attempt to follow up with me after my appointment. It isn't a big deal, but it does say something about the overall atmosphere of the office.

I understand this office was taken over by new management several months ago. Since that time I've started hearing an alarming number of similar complaints from folks I've recommended use this veterinarian ... as well as a few complaints from other clients while in the waiting room.

Unfortunately, 3 people I actually referred 2 years ago have recently decided to go elsewhere for their veterinarian services. Even though they are very conveniently located, I too must consider this option.

My husband & I brought our cat to be neutered recently. The overall experience was absolutely infuriating! They had us sign paperwork without explaining to us that some of the work they did was going to be OPTIONAL. We ended up paying an extra $70 that we could not afford to begin with. They also forgot to give our cat a pain shot & did not do so until I asked if he had had it. Then he was brought down so quickly we wondered if he had even been given it! The price ended up being over 3 times as much as we were originally told. BEWARE.
