I agree the absolute worst care... all the aids do not smile, or talk with you. They left my Mom yesterday in bed all day with a dirty diaper, no drink, no pants on ... I have complained so many times and nothing done. The nurse supervisor CORY is supposed to be there to help you as we do pay the nursing home but she only sticks up for the terrible bedside manner the aides give. Trying to get my mother out of there fast, and please do not pick this place for any of your loved ones.

this place is awful.yesterday when I was there baby roaches were on the floor in my mothers room, the place smells awful.my mother is going to be moved shortly someplace else.we could never leave her in a place like this. the aids are very nasty and never respond in less than half hour when the bell rings for them the food is awful, and hardly any of the aids speak English they talk mostly in there language.this place should be closed its bad enough to have to see a parent go to a nursing home but when its as bad as this it makes it worse,we just don't feel safe leaving her there, and you have no idea what it takes to get a doctor if something goes wrong,and none of the nurses are registered nurses there all practical nurses,i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone .even the social workers have nasty attitudes, and the nursing supervisor barely speaks English and you cant understand a word she says,i have had to make numerous complaints to make sure my mother stays safe.we all live out of new jersey and the only reason my mom is there is cause her and dad liked living in new jersey

My Dad 82 yrs old was at JFK Hartwyck Edison Estates back in May 2012 after a knee replacement.. Upon arrival at 7:30pm no one came too speak too us, room wasn't ready finally after 20 minutes a nurse & aid came in. Found the place too be dirty. Aides barely speak English & takes forever too answer a call. Dad called me one morning saying he had too go too the bathrrom & needed help and he was pressing the button for 15 minutes. Called me back and said he dirtied the bed & no one still hasn't answered his calls. I left home & drove 25 minutes and when I got there someone was finally cleaning him. In July Dad had a staph infection & the replacement removed. Last week had another replacement put in & I will not have him go back there. I toured JFK Hartwyck Oak Tree Rd & was very satisfied. Friendly staff & very clean.

Immediately! They gave me a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in

One thing that consistently bothers me about this particular place is a certain lack of courtesy in speaking English. I find it rude for staff to converse with each other in other languages in front of patients who do not speak that language.
The staff always seem overworked; it takes a long time for them to answser patient calls.
Cleanliness is another concern. Especially on the more chronic wards, there is always a foul odor, and I have seen unknown liquids on the floor in hallways that will stay there for hours.
I have had several relatives stay at this facility, because it is where JFK likes to send their patients for rehab. If there were better options available they would rather go anywhere else. One relative got pressure sores while staying at this facility, and MRSA eventually developed in them.
