MEAN AND UNCLEAR OFFICE STAFF
I am in Vernon, NJ- in the middle of moving- husband away- so I'm with my 6 year old for 2 weeks. I hurt my back on Sunday, and when I called Dr Sheehan's office on Monday morning I was pleased that they would "work me in" at 11am. The woman I spoke with gave me the impression that I would need to be sitting around waiting a while. My 6 year old finishes camp at 11:30am, but I explained I would pick him up early and get him with me to the office as close to 11:15am as I could. I called at 11:10am to say we'd been delayed (6 yr old didn't take well to being picked up early), but I was en route and should be there by 11:20am if all went well. I took a wrong turn- maybe my GPS map needs to be updated, when I called at 11:25am to ask where exactly on Vernon Crossing Rd I needed to go, I was told that I could not have the appointment. I was literally around the corner with an aching back and a crying 6 year old, and I was told that I couldn't be seen. I obviously misunderstood when the 11am appointment was offered that it needed to be at 11am- it would have been helpful to know that there was a sharp cut off point- I would have timed everything accordingly. Nevertheless, I am still surprised that while en route, without explaining that there was a hard cut off time- that they refused to see me.
