Dr. Shapiro may be a good doctor but his shceduling of patients is HORRIBLE. My first appointmentI was midafternoon and I had to wait almost 3 hours to see the doctor. Trying to avoid the long delays to see the doctor for follow up, I made a 7:30 AM apointment, the office opens at 7:00 AM, I got there about 7:20 AM, and was not taken into the examining room until 8:05 AM and did not actually see the doctor until 8:40 AM, an hour and ten minutes after my appointmen time at 7:30 AM. I was told by a staff person the way to beat the long wait is to get there before the office and wait on line to get in. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
Their staff was not rude, but they didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were not friendly enough.Their equipment was current, nothing special though.There is no one I would recommend go to this provider.

Their staff was not rude, but they didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this doctor to my friends or family. They were friendly and made me feel at home. I really appreciated the kindness of both the doctor and staff. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. They usually take that extra step to make me feel special. I find my appointments here to be of value to me.
The doctor is good. I don't recommend this doctor because of how he books his appoinments. You get an app't, show up on time and there are 12-15 people ahead of you. Standing room only. This was not a 1 time thing.

I want to comment on the office's inappropriate scheduling practices. A number of patients are being scheduled for the same time and the waiting time in the office is usually 2 hours or more. Moreover, patients are often taken inside in an out-of-order manner that is difficult to understand (really - why the person who came 40-50 minutes later than me is taken before me?) This practice is completely inappropriate and unbearable, and also exhibits negligent and callous attitude toward the patient's time and health - since waiting for hours for the appt. is harmful for psychological as well as physical state of people who are not well to begin with. I personally know a number of people who stopped visiting this office just for this reason. While the doctor himself communicates in a polite manner, the bottom line is that the complaints about this practice are still being ignored.
