Doctor Victor Liu is a gem. His bedside manners, knowledge, expertise, professional attitude and genuine care all showed that he is one of the best cosmetic surgeons in the country or in the world. O was very nervous but he made me feel at ease. Even during post operation, he shined when he called to check on me. I would definitely recommend him!

I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. They never mention anything about promotions when I'm there. I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. I've been to some other places where I was scared to get out of my car but not here. They didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated. I've been to other places that pressured me to buy stuff and it always made me very uneasy. The one thing that I really enjoy about this place is their high level of customer service. Their full attention is always on me and they never take personal calls during my appointment. I've been to other places that answer their phone and it just drives me crazy. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously.

Had a facelift done with Dr. Liu. He is professional and a skilled man at his art. Before surgery I looked atleast 15 years older than my actual age, afterwards I got compliments saying I look 10 years younger. Being a man, many of us age as we should, but I felt I aged alot due to my younger years lifestyle which damaged my appearence. Along with the facelift, I looked into getting a chemical peel to remove much of the dead appearence that showed on my face. The procedure went smoothly and the healing process took some time, I was concerned about how I would look, but Dr. Liu reassured me that after the swelling and stitches were removed I looked younger and felt great about my appearence. My girlfriend says I look like a brand new person and because of the great work Dr. Liu has done for me I get some attention from the younger ladies. Any man like a woman deserves to look and feel their best, having the facelift and chemical peel really gave me a new face and outlook on myself.

There are certain risks to take when we go for a cosmetic procedure. However, you don't want to take that risk if the doctor does not have a good work ethic.

Please think twice, if you ever want to visit him.

I am hugely disappointed in Dr. Liu's service for the following reasons -

1) Bad result
I was bothered by the wrinkles on my forehead. Dr. Liu recommended to inject some fat taken out from my cheeks onto my forehead, so that I could have the wrinkles filled out and my cheeks slimed down at the same time. I thought it made sense and agreed with the recommendation.

Right after the procedure, the wrinkles disappeared from my forehead, and I was happy with the result. However, within a week, the wrinkle reappeared on my forehead. And, it became worse, because, for whatever reason, the wrinkles on the left side are way more obvious than those on the right side. So, I have to wear a heavy band to cover my entire forehead up.

I called Dr. Liu immediately and asked for a check-up. He wanted me to wait for 3 months and see whether he could fix that afterwards. I thought that was a reasonable suggestion. Afterwards, I went to his office again, he still told me that he could fix it. But, today, when I went for a check-up and was hoping he could schedule a procedure as what he promised, he refused to do so.

This is what he said "I don't care how much did you paid for the procedure. $7000 is nothing."

One reason he did not want to fix the problem for me, because he is not happy that I did not use him for other procedures. "Why did you use other doctor for other procedures!" That's what he said.

It was extremely disappointing because one he did not have the ethics to take responsibility and keep his promise to his patients, two obviously he did not care about what I thought today, three I felt there was no way to reason with him. While I could show him my wrinkles in the mirror, he wanted me to look at this tiny screen on his camera.

2) Painful/unrespected procedure
The procedure is extremely painful on my forehead. When he put injection to numb my forehead, he did not even use the cleaning procedure. I was extremely surprised to experience that. I wish I run off from the operating room at that very moment.

During the procedure, his hand is not gentle. So the procedure on the forehead is extremely painful. I was in tears the whole time. While I was in pain and begging him to put more numb injection to my forehead, he was not very patient. And, I felt I was doing something wrong. That was ridiculous.

3) Not a good price
I have to admit that when I decided to do the procedure with him because I thought he could give me a good price. Thinking back, that was very unwise of me. His price is not low at all. Later on, I found a better, more-respected Dr in San Mateo and have done a couple of more procedures with him, and am very happy with the service and result.

4) Talked patients into doing more than what they need
Dr. Liu is always pushing you to do more than you need. So, I am in my 30'es, and have a little wrinkle on my face (around the mouth area), which can be fixed easily with fillings. Guess what, he wanted me to pay for $2500 for a face lift.

I am glad that I did not let him talking me into doing it. And, because of my experience with him on my forehead, I was not going to let him do any other procedure on me at all.

5) Unprofessional in keeping the time for appointment
It's a joke to try to schedule an appointment with him. I have visited him 4 times, and waited for at least 40 min for each appointment. I don't even believe he sees his patient according to his schedule, but based on who is there first. This morning, I asked his assistant. This is what she said " Did you come here the first? When you see your other doctors, are they all on-time?" I had to just shake my head. I would rather not to deal with him, if I did not need him to fix my forehead.
