Swine flu virus now most prevalent strain of flu: WHO


The World Health Organisation said Friday that the swine flu virus has supplanted other viruses to become the most prevalent strain of flu.

"Evidence from multiple outbreak sites demonstrates that the H1N1 pandemic virus has rapidly established itself and is now the dominant influenza strain in most parts of the world," said the WHO in a statement.
