Five ways to look ten years younger

I feel old.

But that doesn't mean I have to look it.

Here are five favorite tips from Real Simple magazine to take the years off.

1. HYDRATE. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This is the hardest one for me because coffee, soda and liquor are soooooo much tastier. Still, everyone knows that water will keep your skin glowing.

2. TAKE IT OFF. Don't sleep in your makeup. I know it's easy to fall into bed exhausted before you remove your cosmetics. But it clogs your pores and dehydrates your skin. Cleansing and moisturizing every night before bed is a must unless you want to look like a haggard, old sea monster.

3. COVER IT UP. Thinking about wearing a sleeveless top? If your arms are ripped like Madonna's ... well, then go right ahead. But if you have any semblance of a batwing or slight jiggle like I do ... don't. A 3/4-length sleeve is more flattering.

4. DE-SPARKLE. Avoid glittery makeup. The specks will stick to and accentuate your wrinkles -- and, worse, it'll look like you're trying to relive 1988. Instead, use hues with a subtle sheen.

5. WEAR CHIC SHOES. Don't sport hideous shoes just because they're comfortable. There are too many cushy flats to choose from these days.
