WASHINGTON, Aug 11, 2008 (UPI via COMTEX) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission announced a voluntary recall of Fisher-Price Learning Pots and Pans
because of a choking hazard.
About 15,000 of the Learning Pots and Pans imported from China by Fisher-Price
of East Aurora, N.Y., have missing screws in the blue toy pan that can allow
small balls to escape, presenting a choking hazard, CPSC said in a statement.
The toy kits include stackable pots and pans and lids. Model number G6685 is
visible on the bottom of the blue pan.
The kits were sold nationwide from October 2007 to August 2008 for about $20.
CPSC advised consumers to take the toys from children and look for six screws on
the bottom of the blue pan. If any screws are missing, consumers were advised to
contact Fisher-Price to arrange for a replacement.
Consumers can also call Fisher-Price at 888-521-0820 for information.
