Obesity link to child care


Participation in a child-care program appears to increase the likelihood a youngster will be obese when he or she shows up for the first day of kindergarten, researchers report.

The study, conducted by Dr. Erin J. Maher of Casey Family Programs in Seattle, is published in the journal Pediatrics.
