Liquidmax-brand multivitamin is recalled


WASHINGTON, Jun 10, 2008 (UPI via COMTEX) -- The U.S. Food and Drug
Administration announced the voluntary recall of Liquimax-brand multivitamin
supplement due to a possible health risk.

Leiner Health Products Inc. of Carson, Calif., said the recall involves its
32-ounce plastic bottles of "Liquimax Complete Nutrition Multivitamin Formula,"
labeled with UPC 7497052290, 7497023607 or 7497023696.

The company said the product might contain undeclared fish (not shellfish), tree
nuts and wheat. People allergic to such ingredients might develop serious or
life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the products.

The recalled Liquimax Multivitamin was sold nationwide in retail stores.

Consumers can call the company at 800-533-8482 to arrange for a refund.
