Everlasting Jelly candles recalled

WASHINGTON, May 27, 2008 (UPI via COMTEX) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission announced a voluntary recall of Everlasting Jelly candles, due to a
fire hazard.

The candles, made by M and A Global Technologies of Tallahassee, Fla., come in
clear glass containers of various sizes and shapes and include the Champagne
Glass with Heart, Large Oval Bowl with Sand and Shells, Tumbler with Blue Roses
and Leaves, and Round Shape with Two Butterflies.

Four incidents of minor fires have been reported after flames from the candles
flared up, CPSC said in a statement.

About 1,700 of the candles were sold from October 2003 through December 2003 for
between $9 and $50.

Consumers were advised to stop using the candles and contact M and A Global
Technologies for instructions on returning the candles.

Consumers can also call the company at 866-224-8811 for more information.
