I was sceptacle when I first came as I didn't get to visit before coming here from the acute care hospital. I was totally amazed at the care this place gives. The facility is immaculately clean, the nurses and all the other employees have been super helpful and kind. If it were possible, I would love to live my life out here as I'm on an LVAD system and have been for almost four years.
I require medical monitoring a lot of the time. They have in house doctors who are especially nice with wonderful bedside manners and are very knowledgable. I am here because I broke my foot and can't be on it four at least six weeks. I go to physical and occupational therapy everyday and have found it to be very helpful. They are very congenial as well.
I have been in rehab institutions at least three times in the past four years. This facility, a Long Term Acute Hospital, is hands down the best in all regards.
My husband came to Kindred for rehabilitation after receiving an LVAD (left ventricular assist device).
The doctors at Kindred provided specialists' care for all areas whenever needed. Lab tests were done efficiently and without hesitation (sometimes in the middle of the night).
The nurses' attention to detail is diligent on all shifts, with most providing excellent care with initial procedures and follow ups.
Respiratory Therapy was unceasing in making certain that breathing treatments were given; however, they often left the room with equipment unattended with equipment still on.
The Physical Therapists were very efficient in providing needed therapy to build endurance and strength. Special recognition for John Michael is due for his expertise and positive attitude.
Our only issue with Kindred was with the quality of meals and a lack of due diligence on the part of the staff. This is really minor when one considers the quality of care that my husband received at Kindred.
