“Who am I...What do I do...What’s next...now that ______________ happened?”

Even though these questions are quite common, few are willing to openly acknowledge the despair that often comes from not having the answers.

In the process of accepting our own unique identity, we often struggle to sort out the influences of personal history, family dynamics, peer group and societal expectations. Without a clear sense of self as a guide, decision-making often becomes difficult.

As a result, those decisions may be incompatible with one’s values and beliefs. In the long term, this may contribute to feelings of anxiety, tension, and irritability that can’t quite be pinpointed. Such feelings are often the result of a “mismatch” between one’s inner and outer experiences, and are often especially intense after experiencing major life changes such as the loss of a partner through death or divorce, “empty nest syndrome”, illness or disability, or when facing a career change or retirement.

In a safe and accepting atmosphere, I can help you discover and embrace your authentic self. By tending to your whole being, we will explore the untapped wisdom that exists in the mind-body connection, and empower you to make choices for your future that are consistent with the totality of who you are.

You’ve already taken the first step in thinking you might benefit from a new perspective. For most people, taking the next step to pick up the phone to call a therapist is not easy.

With that in mind, I look forward to your call, to speaking with you about your concerns, and discussing how we can work together to bring about the change you seek.
