Dr. Navarro is a General Surgeon, originally Board Certified in General Surgery in 1976; he received board certification in Phlebology in 2009 when the treatment of veins officially became an AMA recognized specialty. Dr. Navarro graduated cum laude from the University Of Barcelona Medical School in his native Spain.

Dr. Navarro completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he was Chief Surgical Resident and a senior Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is affiliated with Beth Israel Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital.

Modern advancements in medical treatment have made the goal of restoring proper venous blood flow by eliminating varicose and spider veins from venous circulation even safer and more effective. Treatment methods vary from collapsing the veins from the inside with laser energy or physically removing the vein, to different methods of sclerotherapy.
