Dr. Casden is unprofessional and quick to label her clients using her diagnoses as a leveling tool. Had a 32 minute session which she labeled me with a Mood Disorder. I returned with at my primary care doctor's request with a patient advocate to ask why she made this diagnoses. Dr. Casden informed that I am too happy and that is why she gave me a Mood Disorder. She went on to say that someone with my injuries should not be happy, it meant I was not dealing with the injuries. I informed her that I have had excellent care prior to seeing her and had dealt with the mourning of my body's losses. Dr. Casden aggressively informed me that she wanted to diagnose me as Bi-Polar, Manic Depressive and that I was faking my spinal cord damage. When I questioned her asking if she was that concerned about my mental state why had she not contacted me during the past 6 weeks? She informed me that she stood by her diagnoses and had nothing else to say. Be aware when making an appointment with Dr. Casden use caution when approaching. Dr. Casden has a Ph.D not an M.D. which makes it unethically to diagnose Manic or Bi-Polar disorders or treat them.

Dr. Casden always makes me feel at ease talking about coping with my health problems. She has really helped me and given me advice to help my family understand what I am dealing with. I would highly recommend Dr. Casden.
