The location of Dr. Nielson's office is not in a pleasant neighborhood,. However, the office building and staff were friendly and welcoming. When I called they answered immediately. Both Mary in the office, and Crystal, the physician's assistant were competent and friendly. They answered all my questions, except the ones that the doctor should provide. . However the podiarist did not help me as much as I was expecting and didn't answer all my questions. Dr. Nielson was pleasant enough. However, after two visits, my problem is no better than before my appointments. After the first time, the doctor said that he had fixed the problem by removing callus and that "something white was among the shavings." There was no positive identification of what that " something" was. A third office visit is scheduled three weeks out to give me lab results from the second examination.. I plan to cancel this appointment and have the report sent to my G P. It seems as if my insurance co-pay and Anthem coverage is the motivating factor for repeat visits rather than alleviating my pain. Perhaps this the reason for saying that this podiatrist is "practicing medicine."
