Out of this group I saw Dr. Mary Sanders. At first I was really impressed by her. I thought that by being in therapy with her I was on the road to a better life. But in the end I wished I had never seen her or trusted her. She ended up destroying the life I had before I saw her. I am now yearning to have that life again. After a suicide attempt, she decided to terminate therapy knowing the condition I was in. The worst part is that she terminated therapy over the phone with my husband without talking to me or explaining why she had to do so. When I called her asking for clarification, she attacked me saying I contacted her way too much during my crisis and that " she cannot cater for my needs and do everything else", and to make things worse she released a grim and serious diagnosis to another mental health care facility a diagnosis she never mentioned or discussed with me, just because I signed a release. At that facility I was diagnosed with PTSD because of what happened with her. For two long excruciating years I contacted her multiple times asking her for an explanation or at least my records to find that explanation. She refused to cooperate in any way. When I finally decided to seek help I discovered that the diagnosis she gave me makes real difficult to get help. I contacted her asking for a recommendation, yet she refused to recommend anyone. Finally she decided to file a restraining order against me claiming that her life is in danger. I was forced to hire a lawyer to defend myself and given my limited financial means it made things really I hard. The case is still pending a hearing.
