Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the longest known treatment approaches still in use in most therapy practices today. CBT is supported in medical journals as the most recommended treatment form.
Other forms of therapy are utilized by this practice including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Rational Emotive Therapy (RET) which were derived from CBT concepts. Homework will be used with some problems, while other may not require formal exercises. The treatment that is best suited for your problem will be discussed with you during your visit. In essence, you will play an active role in your treatment, which improves effectiveness of therapy.
