I had a family member at this facility for almost four months. Please do not put your loved ones in the care of this facility. My family member entered with an orthopedic issue and was recently admitted to the hospital with multiple infections (due to improper care by the staff). One particular nurse insulted my family member on numerous occasions. Another time my family member pushed her call button and so did her roommate, they yelled for assistance and all that was done was their door was closed and they were ignored. I found my loved one in tears. These are only a couple of examples from a long list. After admitting her to the hospital with a bacterial infection c-diff, we found out that the doctor from the home prescribed only 125 mg of medication. She suffered for 9 days and we finally took her to the hospital. The hospital said 250 mg is standard. The hospital put her on 500 mg! Proper care was never taken when my loved one was moved to quarantine her at ManorCare. Very few members of the staff wore the gowns and gloves required when contact with a patient with c-diff. Food is below par. The hospital commented that my loved one has symptoms typical of someone lacking nutrition. If you love someone, please look around before putting them in ManorCare Whitehall.
They were the most polite, respectful staff I've ever seen anywhere. They made everyone feel welcome. It was so great that they were able to answer all of my questions. It made me even more confident in their abilities. There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking. The staff was truly one of the best staffs I've ever seen. They genuinely care about everyone who visits.
