Two days ago, we saved a kitten in the alley. He was doing fine until the next day when he began losing focus and unable to walk or lift his head. No more than 20 minutes after our visit to the Vet, our 2 month old kitten died. I personally think the Nurse, doctor, or whatever she's called was too lazy and didn't care at all. I'm not saying this out of anger, but her treatment of the situation results in my frustration. We talked to her on the phone last night, the night before we came in, today, and she was extremely inconsiderate and rude saying to us in a very harsh and insensitive tone, while we're in tears asking questions, "Well, do you have money to pay for this?!" She knows what she's talking about, but really seems like she could care less, and she was just plain rude. We had to dig for answers from her about what we should do, right there in the exam room! It was not easy to get any information or help from her. We had to pry for help from her. Despite all of the awesome recommendations, I'm going to find a new Vet and won't be taking my cat there ever again because of her. The place was cool, all the other staff was great, but because of her blatant disregard for the life of a kitten, which is kind of her job to care, I wouldn't put the life of any animal in her hands. Yeah, she probably sees stuff like that all the time, but that's no excuse to act so detached and desensitized. I think she chose the wrong field to go into because she more or less had the attitude and morale of a tax collector, not a person who should be working with animals.
