I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. They didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated. I've been to other places that pressured me to buy stuff and it always made me very uneasy. The chairs in the waiting area are pretty average. Not super deluxe but not horribly uncomfortable either.

I have had to bring my cats to the vet more often in the year that I've been attending here than ever before. I spend more money on health care for my cats than for all of the humans in my family combined. If there are any issues, they advise by phone to bring them in...I can never get any kind of help over the phone. My inside cats get dewormed constantly by PHCH even though they never go outside or get worms. I am starting to feel like a cash cow to the hospital.

More importantly, I feel that one of the vets there is insensitive to cats, if you can believe it. He's not gentle, has urged me to get him declawed, and when I winced when one of my cats received 2 vaccinations (because the cat seemed in pain), he said, "She didn't even feel it." I was not given any information about side effects of the vaccines or anything to watch out for. After looking at a reputable online site, I saw that there are numerous side effects including tenderness in the area where the vac. was administered and advice not to pet my cat there or to let her take it easy.....I had no idea! Also, she has lost her appetite and has had diarrhea ever since. According to online site, I needed to be on the lookout for this very bad reaction. In all, I feel that half of the staff at this hospital is far from ideal, focusing more on profit than my cats' well-being. They do not keep you informed on the choices they push you into making for your cat, and they seem to want to spend as little time as possible with you as a client... In and out. I have felt this repeatedly there.

On the bright side, they are QUICK! If you have a problem with long waits, this is your place to go!
