5 stars doesn't even come close. This is the nicest, cleanest, most compassionate medical facility I've ever seen. The nurses treated us like family. At all times, we felt like they were in charge, but the final decisions were up to us. It was our choice to let Mom fade with dignity and love in a peaceful environment. We were concerned about pain and anxiety control and never wanted to leave her side. That was exactly what happened, and even though my heart is broken, my faith and my optimism has never been stronger. My prayer is that every family member who has a need for such care, will qualify and be afforded such care. May the Lord bless and keep the doctors, clergy, nurses, nursing assistants, kitchen help, housekeepers and volunteers! We left with an afghan that was donated by a volunteer which had been on Mom's bed during her stay. It was purple, Mom's favorite color! Every time I see it, I will give thanks for the staff at the Springdale hospice. Thank you all for the greatest gift of all, human compassion! Your faces will be etched on my heart forever and I will never forget.
