we brought my mom there to live permanently because she has Parkinson's well the Psychiatrist put her on Seroquel & Zoloft at the same time she was confused & he wanted to up the dose. the Doctors never came around when they were suppose too.

she said they pushed her down in bed a couple of times because she needed to go to the bathroom. the employees don't care. the talk sternly to the patients. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

My mother went to Heartlands to recover after surgery. Unfortunately, I was not able to visit her and monitor the place. Friends that visited her daily reported to me that they would find her slumped in her wheelchair, and staff did not bother to rouse her. My mother was having trouble breathing and told the staff repeatedly. She was not taken seriously, and my feeling is Heartlands simply did not have enough qualified medical staff to properly evaluate her condition. My mother died in Heartlands after calling the nurse all night for help. The nurse told me he was the only nurse on duty for 100 patients, so he couldn't attend only to my mother! So please don't make the same mistake I did by sending my mother here. Stay far, far away.
