I know someone who visited someone there and said if she could, she would fire all the CNA's. She also states that there are patients who ask for help, ringing their buzzer, and get no help. Same as previous writer stated - it's true. She saw patients sitting in their urine and feces also, for lengthy amounts of time. Terrible. She said that no one really cares and that she would never allow a family member to go there. How terribly sad. My advice is, if you have a loved one stay at ANY nursing home, make your presence known. Show up at odd times on different days. Funny how these places smell nice on the holidays. Take phone videos if you see something, tell the social worker, not an employee, if you need to report something. It is known that the aides take the buzzers away from patients who ring them too much or can't speak up for themselves, sometimes purposely placing them out of reach. My heart is breaking for some of these patients, especially the ones who have no family to visit, or no voice. Those are the ones mostly ignored. No way in hell. I am sure there must be some good caregivers there, but this is what we saw.

This is by far one of the worst nursing homes you could place a loved one into as my family has come to find out. When you enter this building you can smell urine everywhere, even in the main lobby. If you enter ANY nursing home and can smell urine, please run the other way. It's a sign of the lack of cleanliness. Elderly are left sitting in their urine and feces soaked diapers for hours until they develop rashes and UTIs. I have seen multiple patients asking for help or ringing the buzzer to only be told by a nurse or attendant "Wait a minute, I will be right with you..." and they still haven't been helped 40 minutes later. Medicine should be administered at specific times or on a specific schedule to ensure accuracy but isn't. Patients have to be woken up at 10 or 11 pm (if they can be woken up) to take their meds. The nurses will hound you constantly to sign a DNR for your loved one even when it isn't any of their business and should be your family's and loved ones choice. They will take patients out of their rooms and leave them in chairs in the lobby or general seating areas for hours on end and not help them back to their rooms until well after 8 or 9 pm. Certain people in management are entirely unprofessional and will act condescendingly towards family. I highly highly suggest that before anyone comes here to stay, they should visit and actually talk to the residents.
