Dr. Miltenburg is the best of the best! She is extremely caring and friendly, knowledgeable and driven. She takes the time with each and every patient to insure they are prepared for the next step. She is constantly taking notes, and will answer any questions you may have. I have never felt so comfortable with a Physician before. The office staff was amazing, so friendly and welcoming.

Note that Dr. Miltenburg is located at 7400 Fannin (aka One Fannin) next to The Woman's Hospital of Texas. I think the listed address here (Scott & White Clinic) is out of date.

Dr. Miltenburg was upbeat, personable and really paid attention to the details of my case. What impressed me is that she had written down notes before my visit from tests I had received at other hospitals -- including mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsy reports and an MRI -- and went over the results from each one with me and took note of additional information I provided. She spoke WITH, rather than AT me when discussing next steps and I felt like her recommendations were specific to my case and preferences, and not simply based on statistics or algorithms. (My previous breast surgeon typically decided on a course of action as soon as she received my test results and didn't seem to take into consideration my preferences or time.) Also, even though I know Dr. Miltenburg is super busy, she still took a little extra time to chat about our children and my fondness for her home country of Canada.

Hands down, Dr. Miltenburg's staff are the best I have ever encountered -- personable and professional. After scheduling my first appointment, I had a couple of questions and called the office a few days later. I was surprised that the receptionist seemed to know who I was immediately and was aware of details of my case even though I had not yet met her. She verified while I was on the phone that all of my historical scans and reports from other hospitals could be accessed from the office, saving me the time & hassle from re-requesting the information. On the day of my appointment, the receptionist contacted me to say Dr. Miltenburg was running a little late and re-scheduled my appointment an hour later so I would not have to wait. When I arrived for my appointment and stated my name, I was greeted with sincerity and familiarity. Wait time was minimal. The scheduler even "went the extra mile" to book my surgery around strict time constraints -- in this case I was scheduled for the very next day.

The office itself is thoughtfully designed and the nearly panoramic view of Houston from one of the exam rooms is gorgeous. The scheduler has her own office, which helps maintain patient privacy. At my previous surgeon's office, I had to stand in the hallway and speak with the clerical/nursing staff to schedule biopsies in full view and earshot of other patients.

If it isn’t obvious from the above review, let me state clearly that I highly recommend Dr. Miltenburg and her staff.
