Services Our focus is Preventive Medicine and Disease Recovery Medicine, not just the usual reactive Disease Industry partial treatment of symptoms of advanced disease. Areas of expertise include Cardiovascular Health, Internal Medicine, minor plastic surgery procedures (in office), assistance with evaluation, prevention of need for surgery (and, where appropriate) assistance with selection and recovery from major surgical treatment options (in coordination with others), Stress Reduction and Problem Solving using a variety of approaches - typically determined mostly by what clients are willing to consider. With respect to Cardiovascular Health, since the atherosclerosis process has long been known to typically begin at about age 7 (later childhood), on average, though symptomatic debilities typically do not become apparent until decades later, we help clients better understand the issues and many options to greatly improve the odds of never becoming symptomatic during their lifetimes. Dr. Milton Alvis Jr is just as his father was - a caring, intelligent, mature, competent, and very special physician and healer in every sense of the word. I would recommend him without hesitation, not only for his medical expertise and competence, but also for his family and home values, his honesty, and his true caring for the spirit, as well as the health, of the individual in his care.

I have been seeing Dr. Alvis for over 5 years now and it has become a live style change for me due to his instructional approach to the Dr./Patient relationship. When I saw him 5 years ago, I was overweight, on the edge of diabetes, and had numerous other issues of weight related causes. With his guidance, I was able to shed 105lbs, lower my cholesterol, lower my pre-diabetic condition, and become satisfied with a new lifestyle centered around diet, exercise, and measured prescriptions that he will adjust according to your improvements. Dr. Alvis is unlike any other Cardiologist since he is prone to teach and treat with the patient becoming a team member of his coaching.
