I have suffered form TMD for so long and could not find a provider to help with my issues. I went to specialists all over the Chicago area to no avail. I googled TMJ and the TMJ Treatment centers popped up and it was an easy decision to make to call for an appointment even though they were located in Wisconsin. I drove up for my first appointment in Racine, WI and from the moment I walked through the door, I felt like problems were addressed and FIXED!! Dr. Karkow is so friendly, sweet and had a smile that made me feel like she has known me my whole life. Everything was explained thoroughly to me, and her office even called my insurance company ahead of time to make sure my services were covered. Talk about going above and beyond. It has been 6 months since my first visit with her, and already I am feeling unbelievable. No jaw pain! I was so terrified I would have to have some sort of jaw surgery, but she was able to quell all my uneasy-ness. Kudos to Dr. Karkow, a great provider who really knows what she's talking about. Thank you for saving me!

I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. They were so easy to reach in an emergency, they answered my call immediately. It is a relief to know that I can count on them to always be there for me when I need them the most. I was completely satisfied with my visit and feel that it was time and money well spent. I am lucky to have found such a great dentist. I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. Dr. Karkow was heaven sent for diagnosing my TMJ. I am sleeping at night, and feeling better as each month passes. What has taken others years, not to diagnose, Dr. Karkow was able to help me. HIghly recommend for those suspecting TMJ, sleeplessness, continual sinus infections that never seem to heal, or constant pain in the neck/shoulder, Dr. Karkow could help you like she helped me.
