Made the appointment , was told insurance would cover first time visit. Had to call for directions and the receptionist was rude and edgy. I still could not find the place, tried to call no one answered the phone. Found it, was a few mins late was told to sit down. After about 15 mins I was taken to the back told to get in a gown. Dr Coates came in about 10 ins later with the "recorder person", she never introduced herself and never actually conversed directly with me. I informed her there was a spot on my leg, neck and back I was concerned about. As she looked at them from a distance she would talk to the girl with the computer rambling off medical coding numbers . I thought I had psoriasis on my back , she did not agree and wanted to biopsy it and I declined. She stated she thought it was an allergy. She told her recorder to give me a name of an over the counter med to use which never happened and I was so frustrated I forgot about it when I left. The Dr. never did a body check for skin cancer which was one reason I came to her.
Today I received a $298.00 bill for a level 4 treatment. What's that! I go to her office and her very RUDE receptionist ( which rude is a much to kind a word to use) became angry with me when I began to question my bill. I asked for a office manger," we don't have one was her response". What about billing? "Its outsourced". She had no concern nor was there anyone to talk to but this individual who always seems as angry with every interaction I have had with her.
I asked for a copy of the Drs' dictation and that really upset her! After reading it, all that was written were my basic history, description of spot on my leg and what she thought it was, and noted that a brochure was provided for me to read. What WAS NOT included were any mention of the psoriasis on my back (which is now eczema) She informed her assistant "I don't know I think it an allergy". She also dictates a patch test will need to be done and information was provided to me , once again it WAS NOT done...
This has been an extremely negative and traumatic experience for me. I work in the health care field and I am EXPECTED to treat people (no matter if they are upset or not) with the utmost respect. This receptionist needs to get a job where no public interaction or customer skills are needed, due to the fact she has none! I work along with physicians each day and Dr. Coates has an extremely poor excuse for a bedside manner and overcharges for her poor services rendered. I will not recommended this office to patients or co-workers. As a matter of fact a few co-workers had warned me of bad experiences they had and heard of.
After visiting this substandard Doctor all I can truly say is BEWARE!!!!!

Just a warning, they do not adhere to the customer is always right policy no matter what the situation is. They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them instead of trying to correct the situation. That's just bad business. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. They don't really take that extra step to make me feel special. I'm just another client to them. I don't feel like I can count on them to work with me until they find a solution for my situation. They always seem like they're going to give up on me.
