A serious complication has occured after a LASIK surgery he did many years ago and he has not admitted it nor explained it to the patient (post-LASIK ectasia); ended up moving to another place to another practice and disappeared from the patient. Patients should be screened carefully to avoid complications; if they were to occur, they should be informed and given options for further treatment. Dr. Urban has not disclosed the information even though he clearly knew that the patient had developed ectasia, knowing that his vision will become worse in time. The patient had no idea what was happening until he found that his vision was deteriorating years after and had gone to another ophthalmologist. This is simply not acceptable. This person should not be practicing medicine.

Dr. Urban was very professional and friendly. He also has a greatstaff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. I was amazed at how wonderfully they treated me. I was very appreciative and thankful that my surgery went so well. They treated me like family, instead of treating me like a number. I loved that! That is why I chose to go with them, instead of other places that treated me like a number! I especially appreciated the fact that when they booked my appointment, I felt like they were giving me the attention that laser surgery deserves. I felt like they really cared about me, and their attention to detail made me feel comfortable about choosing them. I couldn't be happier!
