About

Barry Weintraub, MD

A Cornell Medical School Alumnus, Barry M. Weintraub, M.D., F.A.C.S., is in his surgical prime with the quiet calm of success. He is mature in his aesthetic judgment and technically seasoned with more than two decades of experience performing cosmetic surgery. You may have seen him on Oprah a few years ago. His discussion on ethics and patient candidacy in cosmetic surgery has earned respect from both the public and the Americas Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Weintraub's philosophy is "Less is More". "Results should be conservative and understated with a keen eye toward natural beauty." He employs a cutting-edge approach to treatment, using the latest minimally invasive, non-surgical and short-incision techniques to provide the maximum benefit to his patients. For example, Dr. Weintraub performs facial rejuvenation surgery by suspending tissues and restoring the lost volume of youth, rather than using unnatural skin traction. In aesthetic surgery of the nose, Dr. Weintraub employs the newest techniques in structural manipulation of cartilage that produce beautifully graceful contours and natural profiles. Breasts should not look operated upon but rather follow the natural female form. When sitting or standing, the breasts should have a gentle slope, with upturned nipples and fullness in the lower pole. When the patient lies back, the breasts should fall back gracefully and naturally. As well, post-pregnancy tummy tucks are performed with tedious corset plication creating the natural beauty of a youthful abdomen. Along with his expertise, Dr. Barry Weintraub and his staff greet his patients with a warm welcome. The cordial atmosphere puts his patients at ease as they look forward to their exciting new changes. For appointments, Dr. Weintraub is located at 50 East 69th Street, New York, New York, between Park and Madison Avenues, telephone: 212.737.7500; and has a secondary location in East Hampton, New York near the Ross School, telephone: 631.324.4800.

The doctor was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I was pleased with their bedside manner. I definitely don't trust their advice. They're only concerned about telling you what they think you want to hear. They briefly listened to me, but quickly downplayed everything I said. It was clear after being treated by this doctor that he hadnt listened to my concerns and the end result showed that. I have had to have the procedure a second time with another doctor.

I found Dr. Weintraub on the Internet while searching for a surgeon in the NJ/NYC area. Finding Dr. Weintraub was the best thing that ever happened to me. Although, his profile, education and experience was incredibly impressive, I had been through some very bad experiences in the past with previous surgeons. Therefore, I had become very leery of getting on any surgeon's table. As an International magazine Cover model and entertainer, being left in such poor condition from my former surgeon, forced me between a rock and a hard place. I knew I had to attempt a reconstructive procedure but,I was frightened that I would only face another failed "hack" job.
Dr. Weintraub restored my faith and confidence. He is an expert on the cutting edge with leading state of the art technology, ingenuity, skillfulness and knowledge. He is a kind, gentle, and spiritual man with a demeanor and adeptness like no other. Dr. Weintraub is a brilliant and masterful surgeon. He explains every little detail and nuance. He is realistic, encouraging and conservative. He is a true artist. Even the way he marked my body for the procedure was done with both proficiency and finesse.
Dr. Weintraub knew how frightened I was to undergo a corrective procedure but, he assured me he could make my situation as close to perfect as my body would permit. He took the time to discuss my concerns. I must have asked him the same questions and adressed the same issues a dozen times, yet he never grew impatient. Dr. Weintraub makes a study of his patients. He is concerned with the "whole" person not just the physical. He truly listens and sincerely takes an interest in you as an individual, not just as a patient. Each time I spoke with Dr. Weintraub I was filled with peace, calm and positivity. I knew I was in the right place and in good hands with him.
Upon my first meeting with Dr. Weintraub, I had been enduring the disfiguration for over 3 years. I can honestly say that I have never felt a sense of hope until Dr. Weintraub. He is ALWAYS available and accessible. He gave me his cell phone number so I could reach him whenever necessary. I found myself usually calling him on a Sunday and "yes", he always answered.
I will be having my second procedure with Dr. Weintraub tomorrow. He had to split my surgery into 2 parts because my condition demanded additional time. As you can see, Dr. Weintraub did not rush through just to get it done. In fact he has honored one payment for both parts. Dr. Weintraub is a selfless and generous man. I am honored to be his patient. I am thrilled he accepted my case, as so many surgeons would probably have slammed their doors in my face. You see, that is the difference. A true surgeon understands that everyone is entitled to good medical care. I highly recommend Dr. Weintraub. I know you will be equally impressed.
