I was referred to Dr Nelson by a friend at work who had taken his son to Dr Nelson and was tremendously impressed with how patient and caring he was with his son.
My heel had been bothering me for months, and three other doctors told me surgery was the only treatment available. I didn't was to have surgery, and to be off my feet, off from work, and out of running for weeks.
Dr Nelson's staff fit me in to their next evening appointment (so I didn't have to miss work), and I was actually seen at 7pm for a 7pm appointment!
Dr Nelson personally took my history and did all the physical examination tests himself before explaining to me what my condition involved, and what my treatment options were. He said that surgery was an option, but that it should be the last option; and that 95% of people improve without it!
He gave me an injection, which I never actually felt!!! and then applied a soft cast, and started me on stretches, anti-inflammatory medications, and new sneakers with better arch supports.
I walked out of his office,(which is very nice), comfortably and have not had any trouble since!
I'm extremely happy that I went, and couldn't be more pleased with my result.
Did I mention that Dr. Nelson accepts my insurance plan, and all this cost me was a 5 dollar copay!

Dr. Nelson is a great podiatrist! I wouldn't think of going to anyone else!! I have already informed my family and friends about his kind and caring personality, his expertise in his field, and his patience with his clients. I have always walked out of his office smiling knowing I have received excellent care and advice. They didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated. Due to my son's health insurance, I had to witness a podiatrist who pressured him to buy stuff and it always made him and me feel very uneasy. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places.I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. Thank you, Dr. Nelson!
