Hello everybody. Thanks so much for taking the time to read a few words from me. I'm a solo practitioner; I'm originally from India (hence my very different first name: Gulbahar); and I'm a female. I've been in the United States for over twenty years. The laws require foreign medical doctors--like myself--to repeat a residency in this country. So, I did my residency in India, and also here, in Queens. Actually, despite what you may think, medical training is much more competitive in India than in the United States, and much more difficult. We don't have the money for expensive machines over there, so much more savvy diagnostic techniques are required. I only mention this, not to brag, but to allay any fears you might justifiably have about seeing a doctor who was trained in another country. I'm married, and have two children. I have been going to this doctor for close to a decade before deciding to change. She charged me twice the amount another doctor did for the same service (amount large enough that wasn't even covered by my insurance). Not to mention that her Elmhurst office is totally dirty and quite disgusting. I got so used to her five minute office visits that I was nearly shocked when another doctor actually spent her time to talk to me and ask questions. I would not recommend doctor did

I always feel reassured after visiting Dr. Donn. She spends time listening to my symptoms, and then makes her recommendations. The office is a bit "dated" but is always kept extremely clean. The office staff are friendly, and there's plenty of parking available. I'm very comfortable seeing Dr. Donn and have been her patient for many years.
