Dr. Oliverio is a very nice man with a wonderful personality. He saved my 5 year old son from a "surgery" that was not needed on our first visit to his office.

Our son somehow got a splinter in the back of his shoulder that never had any infection, and the opening had grown over before we realized it was there. It eventually started to itch, which was how we finally found out about it.

We took him to his normal pediatrician, who wanted to put our son completely out! Causing a trip to Children's hospital... along with all the associated fees and trauma that he would have had to go through. Not to mention the dangers of the being completely put under in the first place. For a splinter? :-|

We opted to get a second opinion from Dr. Oliverio. Not only did he accept us for an initial visit, he was able to talk my son into getting that splinter out right then and there. One small injection to numb the area, one small cut, and out came the splinter. He even gave the splinter to my son in a small tube - that he still has to this day. Our son was very proud to be so "tough" and we were very grateful to find a doctor that was willing to do that for us instead of putting our son to sleep.

Later, I personally had some stomach issues that caused about 7k in two emergency room trips. I called Dr. Oliverio, and he accepted ME in as well. In one visit, he was able to accurately assess the situation and put me on medication that has so far helped out quite well.

I highly recommend this Doctor. I love his personality, he has a lot of "common sense" and is not there just to "push drugs" like so many others seem to want to do. He'll offer advice on stress and diet, along with giving you proper medication to get you through until you can solve the problem. We're very happy to have found this doctor, and will continue to go there for a long time to come.
