The fact that Dr. Vail and St. Roosevelt Hospital's CIPTD program is only willing to recognize Christian holidays is absolutely demeaning towards any patient of a different faith. Dr. Vail was of no help to me and I would never recommend her or the CIPTD program to anyone, ever. I wish there was a negative star I could click above instead of settling for a single star rating.

I Dr. Lucia Vail is the WORST therapist one can encounter. I was in the intensive outpatient DBT program at St Lukes Roosevelt and she was my psychologist. She had the audacity to tell me in a private session about a month after I started the program that there were NO hopes for me, meanwhile I had suicidal ideations. I clearly recall asking her if I should just jump off the bridge and she didn't bother saying no. I had just been hospitalized for a suicide attempt and went into that intensive DBT program because I was in terrible shape. I recall coming out of there weeping and not knowing what to do. How could a "psychiatric" professional tell someone who's suicidal that they have no hope? This lady is heartless. She favors people. I recall she had a patient who had her cell number and she'd always favor this patient and treat the others like garbage. Keep AWAY from this lady if you want to stay sane. 5 years later I am stable thanks to the fact I got myself a caring therapist, who did the total opposite of what Dr. Lucia Vail did. This lady is horrific!
