I switched to Dr. Breen from a very expensive well-known dentist located in Walker. That dentist was convinced that I needed several years' worth of costly dental work to get my mouth into acceptable condition. I decided to check around and see who else was out there that would provide excellent care and could give me a second opinion on what was needed before I committed to spending such an outrageous amount of money. I found Dr. Breen through someone where I work, and he came very well recommended. On my very first appointment, I had a thorough cleaning and a comprehensive exam. Dr. Breen's opinion was that I was in need of several fillings and that I had a crown that needed to be watched for signs of decay underneath it. That was it. He was able to get all the fillings done at my second appointment, and my teeth look and feel better. I can't believe there would be such a difference in treatment from one dentist to another, but my advice would be to ALWAYS get a second opinion if your dentist is trying to talk you into spending thousands of dollars on dental work. My thought is that my former dentist probably just wanted a new sports car! Dr. Breen is thorough, gentle, and tells you exactly what is going on without trying to upsell you - he understands that most people don't have limitless amounts of money to spend, which I appreciate very much. I would recommend him to anyone.
