I called AAMC's wellness office seeking information on nutrition counseling for my family. I was more interested in learning about whether the nutritionists could simultaneously help with weight loss and nutrition education for my husband and me and in learning how to prepare healthy meals for my infant as she progresses into the toddler stage and transitions to eating exclusively solid foods. I left a detailed message and when my call was returned, the person on the phone did not identify herself, called me by the wrong name, seemed disgruntled as I tried to figure out if the call was really for me, giving my full name, and then simply provided prices for meeting with the nutritionist. When I asked whether she could give me information about the services provided, she simply said "no." Totally unhelpful, completely rude, and a horrible way to introduce this provider to a prospective new client/patient.
