Diet Nutrition and Gluten

I have spent most of my adult life having stomach problems. It was thought in my younger days that I was suffering from Bulemia, I tried prozac, read books, watched what I ate but nothing seemed to help. It was like a cycle of tiredness and upsets. I would eat to make myself feel better to only realize I felt worse this continued for years.

A few years ago I heard about gluten intolerance and I thought hmmm maybe just maybe thats my problem. The results were inconsistent, I would eat something with gluten and feel fine then the next day another food with gluten would make me feel sick.

I began a nutritional journey learning everything I could about nutrition and soon I realized it was the process of the gluten that was irritating my stomach lining. I traveled to Italy and felt wonderful for two weeks eating fresh pastas and breads.

What makes me feel optimal at this stage in my life is eating whole real plant based foods! I still eat pizza but it has to be homemade with fresh ingredients. I eat 85% dark chocolate to curb my sweet tooth.

Of course there are times when I reach for that processed junk food only to pay for it later but that was the choice I had made.
