Newport Beach Chiropractor: An Abnormal Neck Posture Can Cause a Weak Immune System

Your neck is not only directly attached to your brain (which controls everything) but also holds very important nerves within the spine in that region. These nerves directly communicate with extremely important areas in your brain. A normal Cervical spine (neck) has a 45 degree curve in it, and the nerves sitting inside of the spinal column are relaxed and can freely communicate with the metabolism center, sleep center, and immune system in your brain. Sometimes because of stressed in our lives; physical stress, chemical stress, or emotional stress, the spine kinks out of place. This kinks breaks the flow of nervous system and can cause poor posture, headaches, neck pain, weak immune system, sleeping problems, migraines, and much more. Make sure to get your neck checked, not only if you have neck pain, but also to make sure your nerves are not being pinched or stretched in that area. A good chiropractor would do a full orthopedic and neurological exam, a set of x-rays and a treatment plan that rehabilitates your spine back to a normal curvature. Remember posture is a window to your health! What is your posture like?
