Simple Homemade Sweet Potato

Appropriate age group: 6 months or older

What you need:

1 medium organic sweet potato

What you do:

1. Wash and peel your sweet potato. Bring 2-3 cups of water to a boil and add the sweet potato. To preserve more of the nutrients you can steam over the pot of water. Allow to steam or boil until soft.

2. Puree the soft potato in a food processor until smooth. Let it cool and serve. The leftovers should not be left out, but put in the refrigerator or freezer right away. The food can be kept in the freezer for about 3 months

Please Note: The key to being safe while making your own baby food is to introduce only one new food at a time. This allows adequate time to assess for any allergies to the new food. Once you determined no allergies are present, you can mix the ingredients to make a wholesome meal.
