A "Pablo" quote for 2014.
1) Count your blessings first
2) Whatever you did last year, do it better
3) Go step by step, one day at a time
4) Create/make your own opportunities
5) Believe in your abilities at all times
6) Quitting is not an option - keep going
7) Finish what you started.
New Direction #1) How often do I look at what someone else while that valuable time and energy should have been directed towards all that I am blessed with.
New Direction #2) Yes, there are areas for improvement and doing what I did last year better is a new source of energy to improve and learn.
New Direction #3) This is a lesson that is invaluable because everything isn't immediate.
New Direction #4) Yes, I am responsible for creating my own opportunities. Upon reflection, many of my "opportunities" in life were a direct result of my own initiatives. This is critical to remember as a daily occurrence - this opportunities abound - requires thinking on a higher level to accomplish. Important brain energy.
New Direction #5) Abilities - believe in them - and believe in the skills that haven't yet been honed. As Henry Ford said "If you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."
New Direction #6) Quitting, in this concept, I believe applies to something that was started or assigned that is a challenge. Imagine the pride and incredible mental charge that can be attained by accomplishing a task or desire that may have seemed beyond attainment due to a variable of perceived obstacles.
New Direction #7) Finish what you started - kind of goes hand in hand with #6. Genuine obstacles might be evident on Path A, but Path B or C or D may be what defines the ultimate outcome. It's using the creativity and brain power to discover the alternative Paths that generate and charge the new possibilities.
Happy 2014.
