Sarah Bay is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Practicing Registered Nurse licensed in the state of New Hampshire accepting clients for well-woman and pregnancy related care.
She has been working in the field of women’s healthcare since 2004 after graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse at a variety of setting ranging from local community hospitals to large high risk maternity centers, mostly based in New Hampshire. During this time she also spent one and a half years working with Cindy Dunleavy, CPM, as a birth assistant for home births in southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. She completed her midwifery training at the University of Washington in Seattle where she spent five of the seven quarters with out of hospital practices including birth center and home birth practices.
Sarah is interested in creating a caring environment where a woman, and her family, can openly share her beliefs and health related concerns and hopes. She is especially interested in preventative care including diet and exercise during pregnancy and the first postpartum year. She believes in providing holistic well women’s health care as well as in keeping birth natural and non-interventive.
