Founding Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Over the years, Houston hair restoration specialist, Dr. Puig has presented papers, workshops and surgical demonstrations on many topics including: Female Hair Restoration, Complex Hair Transplant Case Management, Professional Marketing of Hair Transplantation, Professional Ethics, Emergency Preparedness in Hair Transplant Surgery Practice, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Hair Restoration Surgery Office Design, Hair Restoration Surgery Team Management, Complication Management, Hair Transplant Fellowship Instructor Training.

Dr. Puig is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Fellow, ACEP, and the Diplomate, and Past President of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.

Dr. Puig has had a special interest in Continueous Quality Improvement and the application of Six Sigma Principals to Hair Restoration Surgery for nearly 15 years. He has studied with W. Edwards Deming and other authorities on this topic.

Dr. Puig has served as chair of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Fellowship Training Committee, helping to complete the new Guidelines for International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Fellowship Training Programs and expanding the available programs from three to seven during his tenure; he also has chaired the Core Curriculum Committee, and the Internation Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Task Force for Physician and Assistant Education. Dr. Puig is currently the Treasurer of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Board of Governors.
