My name is Teresa Phan. I am a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr. TCM). Brief history as to why I decided to go into Chinese medicine, I was studying at Simon Fraser University, majoring in biology when I was having trouble dealing with massive shoulder pain, a resulting from a previous car accident. I went to my western doctor where I was just given some analgesic medicines. I didn’t like the idea of being depending on pain killer, so I decided to try acupuncture. In my first treatment, I find instant relief, and from there on I decided I didn’t want to work in the lab anymore, and select oriental medicine as a career choice.
