Amber recently completed her Master’s Degree in human development counseling at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. While at Vanderbilt, Amber’s focus was community counseling with a specific concentration in women’s issues and eating disorders.
Amber currently is a counselor at Cornerstone Psychotherapy. She works adults, adolescents, children and families providing individual and group therapy. Amber’s areas of interest and specialties include: Eating Disorders, Women’s Issues, Stress and Anxiety Disorders, Depression and other mood disorders, life transitions, and grief and loss. In her work, Amber believes strongly in a client-centered, Humanistic approach that integrates components of Cognitive Behavioral Theory, feminist theory, psychodynamic theory, and strengths based counseling.
Amber also conducts a weekly therapeutic group "Beyond the Mirror: Group for individuals with body image issues and disordered eating habits" at cornerstone psychotherapy and a ANAD group at EDIN in Decatur, GA
